Charlotte Young was born in Carlisle, Pa on October 30,1912. Her parents names were James Garfield Young and Mary Jane Jackson. She was religiously affiliated with the Baptist Church. She attended Carlisle High School, upon graduation she entered Dickinson College were she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1934. After graduation Charlotte married Paul McStallworth and she became a social worker.
