Ruth Sharp was born in
Landan, Nj on February 18,1911. Her parents names were Ezra Broadway
Sharp (deceased) and Ruth Ella Reece. She was affiliated with the
Methodist Church. Ruth attended Carlisle High School and upon graduation
she matriculated to Dickinson College were she earned her Bachelor of Arts
Degree in 1934. Upon graduation she was eligible to teach English
Literature, Public Speaking, Rhetoric, Choral music, Health Education,
French, Civics, Economics, History, Geography, and Problems of Democracy.
She was also able to coach Basketball, Dramatics, and Hockey. After
graduation she married J. Howard Miller and became a secretary.
