Marie Formad was born in East Falls Church, Va on December 27, 1911. Her parents names were Robert Formad and Julia Martin.  Marie was not religiously affiliated.  Upon graduation from The Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. she matriculated to Dickinson College.  While at Dickinson she was an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority and other clubs.  She graduated in 1934 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  After graduation she married Mathew Kennedy and then she later married Edward Wood who she was married to upon her death in 2000.  While she was alive she worked as a secretary.
