Thomas joined the Dickinson faculty in 1928 as an Instructor of German and an assistant to Professor Prettyman. Later in 1931 he became Associate Professor of German. He taught seven German classes during the 1933-1934 school year1.Thomas was the first honorary member of the Theta Xi fraternity in 19342.
