The Mohler Scientific Club was a co-ed club that was twenty-six members
strong in 1934. The Microcosm explained that the club's main goal was to
"further knowledge in a club setting." It was self-described in the Microcosm
as a scientific club open to anyone campus-wide and for all scientific
interests. It covered all scientific fields throughout the year. The possibility
of fraternity bias is possible however, because to sigma chi's held the
only two positions of leadership. Furman Kepler and Fred Green holding
the positions of President and Secretary respectively. This may also have
been a coincidence however and no further evidence has been found to support
or deny the theory of bias. Regardless of this, the club offered or sponsored
several campus-wide events throughout the year, including several guest
speakers on several different fields and a "series of moving pictures."
