Dickinson's 1934 baseball season had been one of the best in school history as Coach McCormick's nine recorded a 10-3 record. At one point the team won six straight games before losing to the mighty Penn State team. Josh Bartley led the hitting for the season with an average of over .400. Sivess became the ace pitcher as he pitched in nine games for a 6-3 record.
