The journal's mission,
as defined by one of its founders a quarter-century ago, is to make the
Dickinson College "library's rich holdings available to others, discussing
the significance and larger relationships." In pursuit of that mission,
John and Mary's Journal will publish:
selected annotated documents
from Dickinson's manuscript collections;
historical or contemporary
research on the college, its people, and its communities; and
scholarly articles, on
any subject or from any discipline, that are substantially based on research
in the College's manuscript and rare book holdings.
Manuscripts and suggestions
for future projects for the journal are welcome at any time. Such
inquiries may be sent to John Osborne,
editor of the journal, or James
Gerencser, college archivist.
