Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania purchased the former site of the German
Reformed Church on January 7, 1835, at a cost of $2,050. This building,
located opposite West College across High Street, was given the name South
College, and was used as the College Grammar School until it was destroyed
by fire on December 23, 1836. A new, larger South
College was constructed on its site. |
