Women March In

When the American colonies became the United States the origins of a unique American identity continued to take shape.  In all areas, including education, early Americans sought to distinguish themselves from their former government and European culture in favor of something new and unique.  For women, this allowed an opportunity to gain a better education than their European counter parts.
